Ranch Trip

I decided that I'd had all that I could take of life in the valley, so I headed up to the ranch Thursday after work to get away from it all. I even took Roo and Mooms with me, since they like it up there too. The days where chilly (mostly 50s) and the nights a bit nippy (around 20), but the cabin was warm and life was happy. We had a lot of fun, and I shot many bullets through my new Sig Sauer. I even hit what I was shooting at from time to time.

I decided to take a picture of each of the girls on our first night there. I was plenty tired from the drive up, so I pretty much went to bed after taking these two pictures.

Friday morning on the ranch. The sun was not yet up, but I was. It was only 24 degrees when I took this, and still the mist was everywhere. If you look closely, you'll notice some blotches in this picture. This is because the lens kept fogging over, and though I wiped and wiped, it still kept fogging over. I did the best I could.

These next few are after the sun came up a bit. Still cold, still misty, but at least the lens wasn't fogging as badly.

I can't remember if this target was Roo's or Moom's...

The problem with Poobie, is that she thinks she can drive. Clearly, this assumption of hers is incorrect.

Roo is shooting at what we call "The Tinker". See those little red, metal, hangy-downy, targets?

I like to call this one "Two girls Standing on the Corner".

This one was taken only for my wife, Nettie. The girls tell me she likes "cloud pictures".

Friday night, cooking hot-diggaties".

After eating hot dogs, the girls decided to engage in firepit art. They are using burned sticks to draw on firering bricks, and calling it "charcoal".

They made me take pictures, again for Nettie.

Friday night. Big Canasta game...

THOSE SNEAKS! I was at Jason's for a couple of hours on Saturday morning, helping him build a sort of greenhouse for his seedlings. The girls stayed at the cabin, and while they were supposed to be cleaning, they took these pictures, and they never even told me! Here I am wondering where on earth these photos came from, and I have to sit here and deduce that my wayward children have been clicking away! Sheesh!
