I finally got around to purchasing some agar and a few petri dishes. I cooked up some agar, and cultured the back of the kid's throughts (amoung other things, like rain water, Jeff's leg, and urine). This and the next three pictures are of a few of the petri dishes, after they had a chance to grow.

Tin-grin Roo in a Baret. What more could you possibly want?

We decided t oturn our bedroom doors into blackboards (using blackboard paint). We told ourselves that it would be useful for homeschooling, but really it just turned out to be the kids doodle pad. This is a coat of primer going onto the door.

A black door. Who'd want a black door?

A sideways picture. I love these.

Looks like Button was helping.

Once the paint had dried, we had to cover the entire door in chalk.

TRUTH!

A self-portrait, by the boy.

Yes, blogging IS a waste of time.

See what I mean? No school stuff, just lots of doodles.

Church kids!

This and the next several pictures are from the mega-birthday party. We celebrated the birthdays of Susan, Pa, Me, and Jon.

Goodness, this party had more pictures than it deserved!

Now for "the cause". Believe it or not (and I prefer not), this and the next picture are $1165 worth of plastic pins and washers. They are used to attach insulation to the side of our tin shed up at the ranch (see below).

Insulation. Lots and lots of insulation.

Our new wood burning stove, ready to haul up to the ranch.

Thanks to Jason's help, the wood stove has been installed. I hope it will keep us warm.

The outside chimney.

The first fire.

This is as far as I got with the insulation this weekend (and the picture below, I did the same thing on both sides). If you look really closely, you can see the really expensive wachers (from above).

The other side of the shed, with as much insulation as I could get installed. The rest, hopefully, will get installed next weekend (with Pa's help).

Geneva dressed up by Megan as a shepherdess (due, I think, to the general craziness of girls).

Pa, Mudge, Button, and I went up to THE RANCH to install a bunch of insulation. Mudge had the job of cooking for us...

Time for a beer.

Button and Brandon (a neighbor boy) playing in the dirt.

This was a lot more work than it looks like in this picture. Almost done!

Nettie and the girls made cookies for Easter.

Alright, these cookies are getting SILLY!

Meg is always SILLY.

Right before sunrise service at Westfork.

Jessie (Church girl) made this hamburger cake and brought it to Church as an Easter gift.

The annual Easter egg hunt at Westfork.

After Church on Easter Sunday, we went down to Sun Lakes for a combination Easter/Birthday party.
