We took the Church kids on a hike at Thunderbird park. This and the next several pictures are from that hike. We all had a great time! This would be Lisa.

Tony and Jacob on the way up. They got themselves a head of me quite a bit. Here they are, showing off.

Henry, Marissa, Lisa, Jeff.

Near the top. These are the four that first reached this point. Tony and three of my kids (Geneva was not on this hike).

Group picture near the top. From left to right, Marissa, Lisa, Tony, Megan, Laurent, Jacob, Jeff, Henry.

Another group pic.

Yet another group picture.

Jacob and Henry at the tippy top of the mountain. Clearly, they are the conquerors.

Still quite pleased with themselves...

Tony using my Christmas present (the binoculars) to scope out all of the mansions below.

Arriving at the top.

Lisa looking at the mansions.

To celebrate her 12th birthday (I'm told this is a big deal), I took Laurent out to Macayos (she had the beach tacos and I the enchilada sampler). This picture was taken right after we got home.

We gave Laurent this necklace for her 12th birthday. It is necklace of Arwen Evenstar, from "Lord of the Rings". I gave it to Laurent at supper, and told her that it was to be a sign of her purity, and that one day, she should give it to her betrothed.

New Years Day, 2007! We had the big annual celebration down in Sun Lakes to celebrate the birthdays of Jessica, Laurent, and Jacob. This cake and ice cream mix is all for Button!

Let him eat cake!

Poobie requested cheesecake for her big 12th birthday. Cheesecake she got, and here it is!

Jessica's ice cream cake.

Did he eat all that?

Roo and her cheesecake.

How many pictures did I take of this scene?

This would be a Mudge.

Kayla!

Gracie!

Mooms and Pa.

We brought Jessie from Church along to this party. Here she is with Roo.

Not sure why I took this...

Jacob got this cap gun for his birthday.

Poobie opening a present from Kinko's.

Jessie, Roo, and Me.

BANG!

Roo with her card from Jessie (and it was a really nice card, too).

I think I have enough of this picture by now!

Boys and trains. What more can you say?

Cheesecake.

Cheesecake.

Cheesecake.

Cheesecake.

Cheesecake.

Jacob was hit in the head by a flying train today (how do these things happen?). The gash on his head needed a few bandages, This may just have been a bit of overkill...

Button in a bandage.

This Page - Notes by Nettie:
During the Advent season we have this unusual advent wreath that the children loved so much this year it stayed on the table lonnnnnng after Christmas.  These three pics show it from different vantage points.

For Christmas, each child got a different set of building blocks - a Medieval Castle, a Thai Temple, a Greek Temple, and an Indian Temple.  Then they decided to build a castle using all the blocks AND Jacob's new train set.  This photo shows the Cathedral end of the palace...

This photo is a close up view from the other, "Administrative" side, showing the throne room...

And this is a full view from the "Administrative" side

Megan learned to crochet, and made herself this cute purse.

I already knew how to crochet, and made this very very long orchid-scarf.

Closeup of the alternating single crochet/double crochet pattern.

Geneva modeling my scarf (very chic with those boots...)

I was inspired to clean my gym so I could use it.

Clean!

Clean!

A friend gifted us with a really nice comforter and pillow shams - what a blessing!

Megan and Laurent posing in their silly way.

My envelopes and paper for the Christmas Letters.

Hey - this is out of order - I knew there should have been four up there...

Hey, this is out of order too.  Nice clean gym.
