Happy Birthday to Nettie! This month, dear Nettie turned 40 years old! This and the next several pictures are from her birthday party.

Nettie's birthday cake (duh).

Here is the old lady herself!

I don't think that she got them all out with the first breath.

BEADY BALLS! Jessica gave Nettie BEADY BALLS for her birthday.

Here are a few of Nettie's birthday presents (I got her that coffee pot).

Poobie knitting or crocheting or whatever it is that she does.

Houses. Our kids have been constructing houses out of paper bags and boxes.

This would be the neighbor's house (I guess).

YATTTR (Yet Another Trip To The Ranch)!!! We had a great time up north (Apr 22-25), and we brought Lisa too. The trip up and back was painfully slow, because the suburban would only do between 20-30 mph on the up-hills. I really need to get that beast to the shop, since I can't figure out what is wrong with it. Other than that, we had fun. We had a spaghetti dinner (like we do every time) with the Namkungs and Ron and Sherry, lots of campfires, a few shooting sessions, and several games of UNO. And oh yes, trailer rides. In fact, while I was giving the kids a trailer ride, I snapped a shock on the truck (that's another thing I have to fix).

The picture to the left is at the end of a hike. This is yet another flowing well, about 8 miles or so west of the New Mexico line (between our place and New Mexico). I'm sure glad that we hiked all that way to see this nice pipe sticking out of the ground...

Lisa and Jacob fooling around with the running water.

We got a new bow and arrows. Here's Lisa shooting.

Button Boy shooting an arrow.

Mudge shooting.

This was another hike. This time to Purcell well. The kids that are not mine are the Namkungs (neighbor kids).

This picture was taken in Carrizo Wash. An amazing amount of sand had piled up, and we were having fun goofing around in it (this was on the way to the flowing well, above). The kids even made sand angels.

This corral is next to Purcell Well.

Inside the Corrall.

Back at the flowing well. We all hike through a marsh (created by the well) to get here, and we all had muck coated feet. In fact, Button even lost a shoe in the muck (I had to trudge out into the muck to retrieve his shoe).

Another picture of the sand dunes in Carrizo Wash (these pictures are not exactly in order).

Nettie bought some very colorful peppers for very little money.

Nettie-plants.

Lisa shooting again.

More archary.
