HEY! These pictures are out of order! How did that happen? Anyway, we have a girl at Church that got pregnant. The Church over in the east valley that frequently helps us out decided to throw her a baby shower. Here it is! The Mom-to-Be got a boat-load of stuff (which is good, since she does not have much money).

Here we have a baby shower. Did I mention the baby shower (guess I did)?

This would be a baby shower at Church. Did I say that already?

Right. A baby shower.

We went to Minnesota this month! This is the very start (headwaters) of the Mississippi River (Itasca State Park). Behind the row of rocks is Itasca Lake. The row of rocks is literally the start of the 'sip.

A little log bridge over the mighty Mississip'.

A sign.

Another sign.

Also at Itasca State Park.

Another sign. Imagine that.

Roo in a wig. How cute.

I was helping Doug fix his shotgun. We got it working (but he refused to test it!).

Alicia painting on a winder.

Nice winder.

Lots-o-kids, all of them cousins. Doug's kids, my kids, kids, kids, kids.

Jay listening to the Twins.

OK. I think that we all saw "Pirates of the Carribean" today. Now, every girl thinks she needs to look like a pirate.

Arrrr me maties.

This girl has one too many eyes.

Give that girl a sword.

This one needs a dagger.

Here is the Birthday party of Mooms. The above mentioned movie was part of this Birthday party.

This is a fine picture of the homemade pizza that we ate at the Birthday party.

Silly mutt. This dog came into our house three times before I finally caught it and called animal control. I think it was attracted by Bella's "in-heat"-ness. By now, this dog is very likely dead, and Bella has since been spayed.

A birthday party. YEAH!

More Birthday partying.

Birthday party, birthday party, blah, blah, blah.

We had a big Patterson family reunion in Minnesota (that is what brought us up there in the first place). This is some kid in a kayak. OK. It's Roo. The lake is Lake Bemidji, by the way.

Smash up kayaks!

Get this boy a jet ski!!!

This is a Mudge-Ski.

More kayak fun!

I think that Jacon is about to get whacked in the butt!

Here I am demonstrating to myself that I am a lot older than I used to be!

I must have impressive, to have this many pictures taken of me!

LOOK! I can spray two feet high!

You can almost see me here.

Um...

This would be Ne--ie-Glu-on-Flour on a jet ski.

GO NE--IE GO!

Button Boy! Button Boy! Smile real pretty, Button Boy!

What do you do with a Bucket of Roo who dresses up like this?

In this picture, you cannot see Meg's Peg Leg. Too bad.

This would be Bippity-Bop-Pop-Precious-Pea-Mudge-Mudge-Chatty-Chick-Sunflower-Stich-Dolly.

Over the Forth of July (Friday- Wednesday), we went up to the ranch (what a shock). If you had not yet noticed, these are our kids.

MOO! We all took a hike to the flowing well north of our place. The cows in the background are annoying.

This little pond is right by the well, and, as you can see, has lots-o-cattails.

Roo, Mooms, and I went on a hike to a big (very big) hill East of our place. To get to that hill, we had to cross Carrizo Wash. This would be that wash.

Finally, on top of the hill (phew, that was a tough climb).

This and the next picture are here because Laurent and Megan each wanted to take a picture. This is at the top of the fabled hill.

See above. 'Nother hilltop picture.

These limestone outcroppings are all over the place as you go up (or, surprisingly, back down) the hill. I thought they were kinda cool.

What a pile of crap! I built this compost this weekend to hold our poop (instead of burying it). I am most proud of my creation. Doesn't it make you want to dump your poop into it?

On the fourth, we (along with the Namkungs) went to Lyman (pronounced lie'-man, by the way) Lake to watch the fireworks. Here we have kids wading before the show starts.

More wading. And getting thorns in the bottom of the feet -- lots of that.

A feeble, and unproductive, attempt was made at fishing while there. The kids cought each other's lines, but nothing else.

Hey I know -- let's go fishing!

This is a picture.

It is now December, and I just found these pictures on my laptop. They are from way back in July, when Annette and the kids were visiting Fairmont. I will have to guess a bit when I write up the commentary.

Here it looks like Mooms and Pa were shucking some corn, and being silly. Always time to be silly.

Silly, silly, silly.

I think that this must be watermelon that Poobie is cutting up.

Mudge-Pop shooting a bow and arrow.

Why is this boy wearing no shirt?

The toy that Jacob is playing with, by the way, I used to play with when I was even younger than he is in this picture.

Admiring the flower garden that Ma has kept for years and years and years and years.

This would be a worm. No trip to Minnesota is complete without finding a worm with which to mess.

Mudge appears to have a bit of trepidation.

Flowers, flowers, everywhere.

OK. This is a back yard.

I am not sure why anyone would take a picture of someone reading a book, but here is Mooms reading a book.

This and the next three pictures look to be a game of baseball (or something like that) in the back yard. Looks fun to me!

This plant was given to me by my company when my Grandma (Annie) passed away.

This is a big plant.
