Here is Mudgy on her very first backpacking trip (which ended badly, we had to come home, because Mudgy freaked out). This is an old tipped over windmill.

Mudgy near an old cattle fence.

Mudgy in an old cattle waterin' hole.

This is a poem written on an old water tank by an old cowboy (in 1972, I think). Here is the text:
He heard old voices
and he heard hoofs beat
Songs that were gay
  to time
of ?assuming? feet
bent back streightened
dim eyes grown brite
as they last rode on
   into the nite
as they top, out, that
   great devide
He wore with every scar
honer at eventide

Mudge on a cairn.

Button is pumping iron.

Pull, Button, PULL!

It's a wonder that shelf didn't collapse!

Poor shelf.

Get off the shelf already!

Rediculous girls!

OK, enough with the shelf.

This is Bippy-Bunny.

Hippity-Hop-Bop-Pop.

A bunny and a vampire?

This is wierd.

Now we have an angel too?

Late one night, a Caddy rear-ended Dan the Van (which was parked). This is what happened to the Caddy.

And this is what happened to Dan the Van (note the bent bumper, but that was all).

This is a water collection device (called a "gusher"), out in the middle of the desert, in North Maricopa Mountains Wilderness Area.

Climbing on rocks.

Climb, climb, blah, blah.

Finally, at the top.

Kids by an old, broken down cattle fence.

Meg on a hike.

Nights ar cold in the desert.

Campfire!

Mudgy!

Looks like JT was with us this time.

'Round the fire.

Mooms.

I thought that I told myself not to take sideways pictures...

Dogs a-fightin'.

Climbin' up a mountain.

Blossoming pincushion cactus.

Looking over the valley.

Here are a few kids.

This is a picture of dirt. Nice dirt, huh?

Stick bug on hand.

Sissy is pooped.

So is Boo!
